Surene Virabhak is the managing director and principal consultant of Legal Labs. Surene has been in legal recruitment since 1998. She acts for multi-national corporations, financial institutions and leading law firms in the region. She has established a good working relationship with her clients and is able to utilise her specialist market knowledge in sourcing and placing the best legal talent across the region. Surene is known for her ability to identify and understand the particular needs of both clients and candidates so that the best matches are made.

Surene previously practised as an IT lawyer in one of the largest law firms in Singapore and she has also worked in-house in a multi-national corporation. She graduated from the National University of Singapore and is called to the Singapore Bar.

Jason Lee is the principal consultant responsible for all recruitment activities in Greater China and London. In addition, Jason comprehensively covers markets in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region. Being fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Jason has an established reputation for being able to source lawyers for law firms, corporations and major financial institutions in the region.

Jason graduated from the University of Nottingham and is admitted as a solicitor in the Hong Kong SAR and England and Wales. Jason was previously in private practice with an international law firm based in the UK. During his years in private practice, Jason worked in Hong Kong, London and Singapore. Jason previously also worked for multi-national corporations in the telecommunications industry in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Arti Daryanani is the consultant responsible for the recruitment of junior to mid-level lawyers to in-house and private practice roles. Prior to becoming a consultant, she was a research associate at Legal Labs, enabling her to establish a good understanding of clients’ requirements and candidates’ needs in the recruitment process.

She previously practiced as a corporate lawyer in a leading law firm, specializing in corporate finance work. She graduated from the National University of Singapore and is called to the Singapore Bar.

Joan Oh is the consultant responsible for the recruitment of junior-level to mid-level lawyers to in-house and private practice roles.  She previously practiced as a corporate lawyer in a leading law firm. She specialized in general corporate and funds work. She graduated from the National University of Singapore and is called to the Singapore Bar. Prior to reading law, she graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in psychology and sociology.

Evangeline Yeo is a consultant based in Hong Kong and responsible for the recruitment activities in the Greater China region. Evangeline, who majored in Economics and Management from the University of London, comes with a wealth of experience in sales and marketing, and was previously a senior regional sales manager with a global IT company. Having a deep knowledge of the service industry and being fluent in English and Mandarin, she is able to understand and effectively service the needs of both clients and candidates.

Nandini Nagesh Navale is the consultant responsible for the recruitment of Indian qualified lawyers in India, Singapore and London. She assists in recruiting lawyers for our multi-national corporations as well as law firm clients. Having a mix of private practice and in-house legal work experience in India, she has in-depth knowledge of the Indian legal environment and a good understanding of the needs of both clients and candidates in the Indian legal landscape.

Nandini graduated from the National Law School of India University and is enrolled with the Bar Council of Karnataka, India. She has previously worked with a Mumbai based corporate law firm and in-house with a multinational corporation and in a financial institution.
